All Storm Roofing repairs tile, shingle and flat roofs for homeowners in Gilbert and across the East Valley, from our office on Williams Field Road in Gilbert. A repair starts with an inspection, so we fix the actual cause of the problem and not just the spot you can see. On tile roofs that often means looking under the tile, because on most East Valley tile roofs, the underlayment wears out long before the tile does.
Cracked, broken or slipped tiles, and the underlayment and flashing under the tile. On most East Valley tile roofs, the underlayment wears out long before the tile does.
Missing, torn or lifted shingles. NRCA, the national roofing contractors' association, says dislodged or missing shingle tabs should be repaired to keep the roof watertight.
Flat roof repair, including single-ply and spray foam (SPF) roofs, quoted after an inspection.
Leaks around roof vents, skylights and solar panel mounts, gutter repairs, and rotten or damaged decking replaced. We also repair roofs another company installed.
The price depends on the roof type and what the inspection finds. We quote each repair after the inspection, and you get a written scope before any work begins. A few broken tiles over sound underlayment is a repair; underlayment that has worn out across the roof is a bigger job.
If you file a claim, here's how we help. With your permission, we meet the adjuster at your home for the inspection. At your request, we send photos and inspection reports to your insurance company, and we prepare supplements when they're needed. What your policy covers is between you and your insurer. We don't make that call.
If a storm has just opened up your roof and water is coming in, our emergency and storm damage roof repair page covers that situation. This page is about the repairs most homes need at some point: a leak that shows up in a stain on the ceiling, a few broken or slipped tiles, shingles that have lifted, or a flat roof that needs attention. For more on tile, see our tile roofing in Gilbert page.
On most East Valley tile roofs, the underlayment wears out long before the tile does. That is why a tile roof can leak even when the tiles look fine from the driveway. Our post on why a tile roof leaks when the tiles look fine goes into more detail, and how to tell if your roof underlayment needs replacement covers the signs.
Swapping a few tiles does not fix worn underlayment. TRI Alliance, the tile roofing industry group, says new or harvested tiles "should not be installed over compromised underlayment regardless of the age of the roof system." When the underlayment is the problem, the repair is to lift and stack the tile, check the deck, install new underlayment and flashing, and re-lay the tile. That job typically takes 1 to 2 days, depending on roof size.
TRI Alliance notes that in most cases repaired tiles will not match the existing tiles, because the roof has aged. When a match isn't available, we put the non matching tile where it can't be seen from the street.
Wind is part of the local storm record too. On July 9, 2018, a NOAA weather spotter reported gusts estimated as high as 60 mph that downed several trees near Baseline and Greenfield Roads, on Gilbert's border with Mesa.
It depends on what the inspection finds. A few broken tiles over sound underlayment is a repair. Underlayment that has worn out across the roof is a bigger job, and a roof with damage in many places may be closer to a replacement. Our guide on roof repair vs replacement after a monsoon storm walks through the decision, and our roof replacement in Gilbert page covers the bigger job.
If you think a storm caused the damage, an inspection is the place to start. See our post on what a post-monsoon roof inspection looks for.

Not always. On most East Valley tile roofs, the underlayment wears out long before the tile does. If that's the cause, the tile can be lifted, the underlayment and flashing replaced, and the same tile re-laid. An inspection shows which job your roof needs.
Repair when the problem is limited and the rest of the roof is sound. Look at replacement when damage or worn underlayment runs across much of the roof. An inspection gives you the facts to decide.
It depends on the roof type and what the inspection finds. We quote each repair after the inspection, and you get a written scope before any work begins.
Yes. Our standard warranty is a "10-year workmanship warranty on every full re-roof, 2 years on repairs."
NRCA does not recommend homeowners walk on roofs or attempt roof repairs unless they have the experience and proper equipment to do it safely. On tile, walking can break tiles, and TRI Alliance recommends a trained roofing professional.
Search the contractor's name or license number on the Arizona Registrar of Contractors site, roc.az.gov. Our license is AZ ROC #345156.
